For some women, traditional fertility treatments are not enough to achieve pregnancy. Issues with egg quality are common, and many factors can contribute to the inability to produce viable eggs, including age, hereditary conditions, genetic disorders, reproductive health issues, and stress. In such cases, IVF programs that utilize donor eggs provide a solution. Donor eggs can be used to create embryos for transfer either to the intended mother or to a surrogate.
Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) provides a way for women to conceive when natural conception is not possible. Many factors, such as menopause, genetic disorders, reproductive organ conditions, and stress, can lead to fertility challenges related to egg quality. ART, including IVF with donor eggs, offers a viable path for women experiencing infertility. Donor eggs can be used in both IVF treatments and surrogacy programs, helping intended parents fulfill their dream of having a child.
We are dedicated to selecting oocyte donors who meet the highest medical and ethical standards. The identity of our donors is kept confidential, and they will not receive any information about the recipients of their eggs. Each donor undergoes a comprehensive medical and genetic evaluation to ensure they are eligible for the program. Prior to the process, the donor signs an informed consent form, acknowledging that the eggs and any resulting embryos will be legally owned by the intended parents.
01
Application Submission
The donor candidate completes a form and waits for a response from our program coordinator.
02
Medical Screening
The donor undergoes a full medical examination to assess her overall health and reproductive suitability.
03
Cycle Synchronization (if necessary)
If a fresh embryo transfer is planned, the doctor synchronizes the donor’s cycle with the recipient’s (either the intended mother or a surrogate) using hormonal treatments.
04
Ovulation Stimulation
The donor receives hormonal stimulation to increase the number of mature eggs. Simultaneously, the recipient’s endometrium is prepared with estradiol and progesterone for implantation if a fresh embryo transfer is planned.
05
Oocyte Retrieval and Fertilization
Mature eggs are retrieved from the donor in a minimally invasive procedure and fertilized in the laboratory with the intended father’s sperm. The donor’s involvement ends at this stage.
06
Embryo Cryopreservation
The resulting embryos are cryopreserved for future transfer to the intended mother or surrogate. Any additional viable embryos are also frozen for possible future use.
We will be happy to answer all your questions.
A woman aged between 20 and 35 who is interested in helping infertile couples may become an oocyte donor. The ideal donor should be in good health, maintain a healthy weight, refrain from smoking, and be free of any serious health conditions. The donor will undergo a comprehensive medical screening to test for diseases such as HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B and C, gonorrhea, chlamydia, mycoplasmosis, ureaplasmosis, cytomegalovirus, and genital herpes.
While it is technically possible to donate eggs every menstrual cycle, we recommend at least a two-month break between donation cycles to give the donor’s ovaries time to rest and recover fully.
At birth, a female has about 300,000 eggs in her ovaries. During her reproductive life, fewer than 500 eggs are used for ovulation, while the rest naturally undergo resorption (atresia). Given the large number of reserve eggs, there is no risk that egg donation or the associated medications will deplete the ovarian reserve to the point of causing premature menopause.
Your privacy is our top priority, and all information related to the donation process is kept strictly confidential. The recipient couple signs a legal agreement ensuring they will not attempt to identify you and acknowledges that no future relationship will be formed between you and the child. The couple will not know your identity but will receive general information about your physiological characteristics, including height, weight, phenotype, appearance, and any relevant hereditary or genetic conditions.
